Meet Lorene Lake & Morris Neufeld
Lorene Lake managed a variety of businesses over the course of her career. Management put the business ownership bug in her, almost from the beginning, and so she finally decided to bring her dream to fruition and open her own business in 100 Mile House. After chatting with locals and doing some market research, Lorene, along with Morris Neufeld, decided that 100 Mile House needed a place to get quality coffee and espresso drinks. “The rest is history!” says Lorene.
Lorene believes that a small business, no matter what kinds of services or products it offers, is what the owner makes of it. Hard work and innovation, she feels, will define its success. Lorne and Morris work hard at making their business work for the town and for their customers. Both Lorene and Morris agree that small business ownership has its challenges, but they feel they’re up to the task and welcome those challenges as opportunities to grow and develop. They’re convinced that growth is in 100 Mile House’s future and they look forward to being a part of it.
