South Cariboo Arts and Culture Society’s mission is to increase opportunities for residents and visitors of the South Cariboo to participate and enjoy arts and cultural activities. Their goal is to provide a positive atmosphere for cultural growth and enrichment.
The art gallery and gift shop, operated by dedicated volunteers, is committed to providing art exhibits, plus a home for artistic expression through shows and workshops. Patrons will find a featured display presentation, as well as a great variety of unique art and artisan work, made by local artists.
If gifts from the Cariboo are what you seek, you’ll find a wide array of hand crafted and affordable pottery, woodwork, jewellery, handmade textiles and clothing, original art cards and more. Local artists and members of your community volunteer at the gift shop. Your purchase supports local artisans and the continued operations of the gallery.

Meet Patsy Granberg, South Cariboo Arts & Culture Society Member
Patsy Granberg, South Cariboo Arts & Culture Society Member is a volunteer at Parkside Art Gallery. This Society, which operates Parkside Art Gallery, was formed in the year 2000 by members who believe that artistic and cultural interests bring value to our lives.This Society, which operates Parkside Art Gallery, was formed in the year 2000, by members believing that artistic and cultural interests deserve to be supported.
SCACS, a non-profit society, is run by a group of dedicated volunteers, providing citizens of the Cariboo with a space to share expression through creativity at 100 Mile House. Society member, Patsy Granberg, appreciates the sense of community that comes of working with other volunteers who support this cause.
I believe in supporting local business,” says Patsy. “I love the personalized service you get by living in a smaller community.” There are many benefits to being in a small town; the slower pace of life and abundance of open space, but especially the connections you build with other people.
Patsy notes that there are a few other local spots that make this community special. Right next to Parkside Art Gallery is Centennial Park, home to Bridge Creek an an impressive waterfall, easily found by following a well-marked trail from the Park.
