Meet Faith Andre

Meet Faith Andre

Faith Andre was inspired to dive into quilting entrepreneurship after many years as a loyal participant in the former owner’s classroom. She really got to know the creative community inside and out, loving every aspect of being a member herself. It was an easy decision to take over the business in 2016, with Faith motivated to create an exceptionally welcoming space for newcomers and inquisitive browsers. “I always dreamed of having a quilt shop,” beams the Dancing Quilts owner. “I had ideas of things I wanted to try and now I can try them.”

Her hard work and perseverance has paid off, as the quilting classes are increasingly well-attended and an absolute hoot for participants. For Faith, heading to her small business everyday is hardly a job at all- she get’s to visit with people who are like her friends and family all day! It is a huge priority to make sure new members are made to feel welcome, a feat that Faith and the rest of her loyal crew manage exceedingly well. It's a fun place to be, even the business name "Dancing Quilts" pays homage to Faith's love of belly dancing.

100 Mile House is very much a ‘support local’ community. It is clear that residents build each other up, especially so during trying times such as 2017’s terrible fire season. Faith is extremely grateful for her customer’s support, and to the greater community as a whole. She feels as though 100 Mile House is a wonderful place to live; with the friendly and generous people to how everything is in close proximity, the Cariboo region is beautiful in countless ways.
